Ghosts of Mars

Years in the future, a Martian police unit is sent to pick up a highly dangerous criminal at a remote mining post. Upon arrival, the cops find that the post has become a charnel house.

"Its Western underpinnings and siege finale are straight out of Assault On Precinct 13, as are its wise-talking convicts and tough cops. Its themes of bodily invasion and possession bear echoes of The Thing. Even its army of demon-possessed miners has a precedent somewhere else, since they look vaguely like the creepy marauders in Prince Of Darkness, right down to their leader, whose long hair, pale skin and black eye make-up recall the look of Alice Cooper's cameo in that earlier film." – Den of Geek

"Big. Daddy. Mars. If that isn’t a perfect B-movie monster, just by virture of being perfectly nutballs, I don’t know what is." – io9

"But I'd still choose it in a heartbeat over the other recent Mars movies, because it bears a distinctive Carpenter trait that somehow eluded the others: It's fun. Talk about your good and pulpy "B" movie premises for an adolescent popcorn fest" – Seattle Time
